Day to Day Things...

So I have still not found a job and I still have no insurance. This worries me because I'm getting so close to having baby. I still keep praying though that things will work out and I have faith that they will.

A fun thing happened yesterday! I was on the laptop and Ralph was laying on the side of my stomach and I told him that if he stayed there that baby will probably kick him in the head. He didn't believe me. Sure enough, about 5 minutes later I was like, "Ouch!" and a huge kick came his way. I was laughing then and I was like, "Did you feel that kick?!" He hadn't felt the baby yet. He was like yep! and then he layed back down because he wanted to feel more. After about five minutes of getting kicked I kicked him off of me because it was starting to annoy me because they hurt. I am, however, grateful that he got to feel the kicks of his little one!

Another fun thing that I have been doing lately is to register for baby items at target.com. I love it! It is so fun to pick things out and to decide what I need. I already picked a travel system (car seat and stroller combo) at the store and I was able to find it online and register for it. We still don't know the sex of our baby but I was able to register for the generic items. Sometime, hopefully in the next couple of months, we will be having a baby shower. I will be sure to invite all who can come! If you are interested in an invite please let me know.

On the sex of the baby, I have decided that I don't care anymore to know. I honestly want to wait now. I think it will be more of an incentive to get this little one out of me so we can know what sex it is. There is too much hype placed on knowing and nobody ever has fun just waiting anymore. I'll be honest, I really wanted to know. However, now I feel kind of happy we don't know because it makes things more exciting. We can be just as prepared for baby without knowing the sex. Anyways, that's just what I think. If you think you need to know then more power to you. This is not to say that if we get another chance to find out that we won't. I'm just saying that I'm not as curious to know.

That is all for now. I hope you are all doing well!

Happy New Year

Aloha everyone! We are officially moved to Oregon. It has not been without its fair share of disastors though...lol. To begin with, I had to fly by myself the day after Ralph and my mom left so that was kind of interesting. It was an overnight flight so by the time I finally made it to Portland I was exhausted. I literally walked off the plane and was so relieved that I would have someone else to carry my carry ons that when I went past security and there was no one there to greet me I started crying...in the middle of the airport! To top it off, my cell phone had just died on me so I had no way of calling to see where anyone was. Just when I thought it could get no worse, I went to get my suitcase and it wasn't there! So I finally asked a United agent to help me out and they finally found it. After that I was able to get ahold of my mom and find out they were stuck in traffic so that is always fun! Lol. I finally made it to my mom's house and I was SO glad.

The next day, I wanted to get started on finishing my name change and other things like that and then I found out that the important documents such as my certified copy of my marriage license, my birth certificate and my social security card were not in my luggage like I thought. I had packed them in the luggage but in our haste to pack, we decided to mail a couple of more boxes so the papers got stuck in one of the boxes! Too bad that the box was sent only the slowest way possible and will probably not get here for at least another two weeks. Haha. So, I was like, "What next?!" It is all turning out alright though because I was able to get a new copy of my marriage license (for a fee of course) and use my old passport to get my license changed. I got my WIC transferred to Oregon and now all I have to do is change my name on my bank account. The only issue I have is that most employers need a copy of your social security card and your license to hire you and I don't currently have a social security card. However, I am not going to rest on the job hunt thing. I will just try to use my old passport with my maiden name coupled with my marriage license to get hired and then I can bring in my Social Security card when it comes.

Anyways, I am quite excited because it is 2010!! It is FINALLY the year that baby will be born. You have no idea how much that makes me happy. I feel like I've been pregnant for an eternity and it has only been 22 weeks! I still have 18 more to go and it feels like they are going to take FOREVER to get through. Let's hope that they do though because I have to get some insurance before this little one is born. That is another thing...I can't get state insurance without by birth certificate and social security card! Lol...That's ok. I am applying for a new birth certificate on Monday and we will try to get on the insurance using my old passport. PLEASE pray that it will work...lol. Anyways, Happy New Year!
