Question:
I am obviously going to be a first time mom. Having the baby will be my first real hospital experience minus the trip back in my first trimester for dehydration. So I obviously have no clue what I'm doing. Here is my question: What in the heck do I pack for the hospital? I am just wondering because I am approaching week 32 and I just feel this urgency to get our hospital bags ready. Maybe it is because this is my first time and I want to make sure that I get everything right or maybe it is divine inspiration that I need to follow. Whatever the case may be, PLEASE help me if you have done this before! Thanks!

Here is what I brought: a couple pairs of socks, comfy clothes for the way home, an outfit for the baby to wear for the way home,a carseat, and of course your insurance stuff. That is really all I brought. The hospital will supply you with everything else (diapers, feminine stuff for recovering, etc.) It's so exciting that you are so close. It is an awesome experience.
Oh yeah and I also brought stuff for showering. : )
I brought clothes to wear at the hospital. I didn't want to hang around in the gown the whole time. I just brought some comfy pj's to wear after. I also had slippers, the hospital floor is cold.
I would say other than stuff said already make sure you bring CHAPSTICK, phone and charger, concecrated oil incase you need/want a blessing before and/or after the baby, brush/comb (i forgot this...lol).
A good idea is to make a list of the things you cant have packed for weeks on end (phone/charger/toothbrush/etc) and put it on top of your hospital bag so it is easy for your husband to know what to grab before you go...you probably wont be thinking clearly enough to remember what else you need!
Hope that helps!
