2 Blog Post Day

Today will most likely be a 2 blog post kind of day. Very unusual for me. However, when I've got something to say I need to say it! The first post today is about yesterday and the second will be about the midwife appointment we have today. Anyways, we got our last ultrasound yesterday because they wanted to know how big the baby was. Let's just say that IF baby is as big as they say baby is than I want to go into labor NOW. According to the measurements, baby is 8lbs already and we still have 2 weeks until the due date. Now from where I'm sitting that screams at me the potential hazard of having to have a c-section because baby is too big. I am pleading with Heavenly Father that I will not have to have one. That is probably my biggest fear. I am literally getting sick over this. So, at my midwife appointment today I am asking about inducing. I know it is a heck of a way to have a baby BUT it saves me having a c-section. Now, on to the BIG NEWS!!!

BIG NEWS!!!!
During the ultrasound I mentioned to the lady that was doing it that if at all she could see the sex we would not be sad about it. She said that it was very unlikely that she could find out because the baby would be too contorted and squished in there to show BUT she did! She said that she is mostly certain that we are having a GIRL!!!! Yay! Not that I would have been disappointed with a boy. BUT I happen to have a lot more girl clothes than boy clothes and stuff like that. Let's just point out though that there is still room for error in this situation because the technician wasn't 100% sure if baby is a girl...just mostly certain.

For all of those who are wondering, we will be naming baby Addison Noka Kaman. The middle name is pronounced No-kuh and is from some language my husband speaks and it means good water. I love it! However, this could change because sometimes babies come out and the name doesn't fit. I feel optimistic about this one though. Now on to the ultrasound pics...

So this picture is hard to see but it shows the baby's gender. The arrow is pointing to the baby's labia (if you don't know what that is...google it.)

This is a profile picture. Baby's head is on the right side and baby's arm and fist are on the left side. I'm sorry if you can't see it but if you look at it long enough you'll figure it out.

Now because I don't want to make this a SUPER long post, I just want to end by saying that we toured the birth center last night and it is awesome. They have so many, many good things like a bed for Ralph and rocking chairs and a private bathroom. It's almost like a hotel...except there is a lot of pain involved for the mama...lol. Anyways, I'll post more about that in my afternoon post...

Yay yay yay!!!! She looks like a girl to me too!! That is so fun! I like the profile shot too! Its good you have some clothes for both though in case she surprises you. If I didn't have THREE ultrasounds all showing Sadie as a girl I'd still be a little freaked out about getting surprised. I really hope you have better luck at your appointment than I did at mine.

LOVE name! If you have to have a c-section it really isn't that bad. I've had 2, so if it comes to it I can answer any question you might have. I hope you don't have to go that route though.
