Update

I went to the midwife today. I started my weekly checkups so that is exciting! Now I'm going to tell you about the check up so if you don't want to know some stuff that went on than I suggest you stop reading now!!! (although I'm not going to be graphic...you just might not want to know.)

Anyways, when the midwife checked she said that I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. That is SO exciting because that means that I am well on my way to delivering this baby!! I feel very fortunate that my family starts to dilate early because I only have 8cm more to go and the first 2 were easy! I know the last 8 won't be though. Also, the midwife was having trouble figuring out if the baby was vertex (head down) or not so she said that she was going to try to feel and see if she could touch any sutures on the baby's head (soft spots on the baby's head) to determine if the baby was head down. She was able to so that is a good sign. Baby is getting into place. I'm just jealous that she got to touch my baby and I haven't yet! So that is the update for this week. I am just getting anxious to get this over with. Hopefully soon we will!
